Our Mission

CeraNova’s mission is to be the world leader in high performance transparent ceramics.

Our History

CeraNova Corporation is a privately held company founded in 1992. We specialize in transparent and advanced ceramics with a primary focus on oxide materials. For over 28 years we have provided research, development, and manufacturing for a wide range of clients in the defense, industrial and commercial markets. The company has been awarded numerous government and commercial development contracts including SBIR Phase I, Phase II, Phase III, and BAA programs. We have teamed with many U.S. Defense Agencies and Prime Contractors and delivered prototypes and products to numerous commercial companies around the globe.

Our Value Proposition

CeraNova’s Value Proposition is straightforward. We take on the toughest advanced ceramic challenges and provide unique and compelling solutions through:

  • Advanced Materials Formulations for high performance ceramics
  • Process-Microstructure-Properties Optimization
  • Design for Manufacturability and Process Scale Up
  • Prototyping and Low-Rate Initial Production

Our Core Values

CeraNova has a long-established culture rooted in honesty, trust, sincerity, and open communication. The company’s reputation on these points is impeccable. We value our relationships with customers, suppliers, consultants, and employees. We interact with mutual respect, courtesy, appreciation, and confidentiality, while remaining fair and ethical in all situations.

We are focused and passionate about achieving objectives and delivering excellence. Regardless of the deliverable type – whether it’s a technical assessment, process improvement, test report, OEM component, or finished product – we apply a dynamic work ethic to deliver on requirements and specifications while meeting or exceeding cost performance and schedule targets.

We take pride in our ability to deliver advanced manufacturing processes and innovative product designs, and we welcome challenges other companies may regard as too difficult or outside their comfort zone. Our approach to the innovation process always begins with seeking the simplest and most cost-effective solutions possible.

We take ownership of the challenges with which we are tasked and assume full responsibility for executing on projects and deliverables. As employees, we are accountable to each other for meeting our commitments and we take responsibility for our individual actions. We operate collaboratively with all team members and work proactively to get things done.

Our first goal always is to facilitate our customers’ success. We are selfless and resolute in pursuit of the best solutions for our customers, regardless of where or from whom those solutions may originate. We are uncompromising on maintaining customer confidentiality and safeguarding their controlled and proprietary information.

Working With Us

CeraNova has an excellent track record of working with defense agencies and commercial companies to develop materials processing technologies and products. Our innovations and development work have helped customers demonstrate new designs and systems with performance that was previously out of reach. If advanced ceramics will play a critical role in your product’s design, manufacturability, or improved performance, please contact us for a consultation at any time.

We are well equipped to provide pilot scale and small volume manufacturing for our customers. We continue to build out our capabilities with new and larger capacity process equipment and expanded characterization tools. CeraNova is a qualified small business concern and a registered SBIR/STTR company. We are ISO 9001:2015 certified, working towards ITAR compliance, and acknowledged as Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) compliant.

We welcome the prospect of teaming on large or small proposal opportunities where synergistic and collaborative effort will benefit all participants. For commercial manufacturing, we stand ready to help design and implement pilot manufacturing systems to establish low-rate initial production (LRIP) and/or to qualify processing prior to full production scale up.
