John J. Gannon, Jr., President & CEO

Dr. John J. Gannon, Jr. is President & CEO at CeraNova and has overall responsibility for the Company’s operations, business development, and strategic planning.  He has over 20 years’ experience in research, product development, testing, and manufacturing of advanced materials, precision components, and engineered systems.  Dr. Gannon has an extensive background in project management and process improvement, with training in project leadership, six sigma practices, and ISO standards implementation.  He is a certified Project Management Professional. Prior employment includes Senior Technical Manager at American Superconductor and Senior Engineer/Program Manager at Foster-Miller, Inc., where he led a number of successful government and defense contractor projects.  Dr. Gannon holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University, an M.S. in Engineering Physics from the University of Virginia, and a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Ohio State University.

Marina R. Pascucci, Director of Government Programs & Contracting

Dr. Marina R. Pascucci is Director of Government Programs and Contracting at CeraNova and is responsible for business development, customer relations, and program management for Department of Defense and other U.S. government clients. Previous employment includes research positions with Battelle Columbus Labs and GTE Laboratories, and Assistant Professor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. She received the New England Norton Distinguished Ceramist Award and Alfred University’s Alumni Career Achievement Award. She is a Fellow of the American Ceramic Society and served as the Society’s President in 2010-11. Dr. Pascucci holds B.S./B.A. degrees  in Ceramic Science/Chemistry from Alfred University, and M.S./Ph.D. degrees in Ceramic Science/Materials Science from Case Western Reserve University.

 

Mark V. Parish, Founder & Director of Technology

Dr. Mark V. Parish is founder and Director of Technology at CeraNova where i s leads research and development efforts for materials, characterization, and process development. Previoulsy he was a founding member of Ceramic Process Systems and CPS Superconductor, and co-founder of Specific Surface Corporation, recipient of the 1998 Filtration Society’s Product of the Year Award. At CeraNova, he developed superconductor current leads for NASA satellites, HF antennas for the U.S. Army, and piezoelectric fibers for smart skin actuators. He received Alfred University’s Alumni Career Achievement Award and the New England Norton Distinguished Ceramist Award. Dr. Parish holds a B.S. degree in Ceramic Engineering from Alfred University and a Ph.D. in Materials Science from MIT.
